Safety

1. Treat every gun as if it is loaded. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
2. Never rely solely on a gun's safety.
3. Never point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot.
4. Keep the action open and the gun unloaded until ready to use.
5. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
6. Know how to safely handle and operate your firearm before loading or shooting it. If you have any questions about the safe handling and operation of any firearm, please contact the manufacturer. Manuals for most currently produced firearms are available at no charge from the manufacturer.
7. Use the correct ammunition, and carry only one caliber / gauge at a time.
8. Be sure of your target and what's beyond your target.
9. Wear ear and eye protection when shooting.
10. Don't mix alcohol or drugs with shooting.
11. Lock up your guns and ammunition when leaving them for any length of time. Store firearms and ammunition separately.
